The song that my group and i have chosen to use in our music video is Katy Perry's song 'If you want can afford me'.
1.The target audience will be both boys and girls, but mainly boys due to the fact that our singer is representing herself in a attractive way. It will be targeted more towards 16-30 year olds as older generations will not enjoy this type of music. People who like pop music will chose to listen to this.
2. The genre of music that my final track is Pop music.
3. The conventions that this style of music uses in its videos is to link the lyrics to the visuals, the video will be bright coloured and girly.
4. My music video will be mainly performance based.
5. The main character in my music video is a blonde haired bubbly girl who is a girly girl. We are going to show her as the type of girl who only wants the best for herself and who is really pretty and all the boys want her.
6. We have planned many place to film our music video. We have so far chosen to film up in London in Bond Street and Oxford Street, in a small colourful shop in Brentwood called All Sorts, in Brentwood high street, in the main singers house, in the drama hall at school.
7. The music channels that will show my music video is MTV as they are always showing Pop music, You Tube will show it, most of the music channels will show my music video as Pop music like this is always in the charts so the music channels will show the charts, apart from shows such a VH1, Kerrange, Scuzz and NME.
8. Media technologies affect the consumption of music videos as 25 years ago there was only a single channel where you could watch music videos and you had to have a cable, now music is much more widely avalible. There are more music channels that have different types of music on them (e.g. channel AKA and Kerrang) they can suit the niche audiences so more people watch them. People can now go on youtube and watch music videos whenever they want. This means music videos are more watched and widely avalible.
